A Real Green Wedding in Indiana

These beautiful photos were taken by green photographer Anne Ruthmann.

The wedding was held in Zionsville, Indiana at Traders Point Creamery, an organic creamery and dairy farm, that explains the cow.

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Trader's Point was even on an episode of Get Fresh with Sara Snow.

The couple Jessica and Ben, didn't set out trying to have a green wedding but they ended with a more eco-friendly wedding than most have.

The wedding and reception were both held at Trader's Point (which is a beautiful natural setting, and an organic creamery), the menu was entirely organic, the flowers were seasonal and mostly locally grown, and most of their entertainment was live and unplugged. And the photographer, Anne Ruthmann, is a known greenie.

Sounds like a fabulously green wedding to me.

These few photos do not do justice to the expanse of beauty and nature that Trader's Point offers.

And the flowers...I love the mixture of fruits, vegetables and flowers...so lively and so very autumn. They were created by Bokay Florist.

The wedding was held in October of 2006. The fall colors are everywhere. In one photo snapped by Ruthmann you can see the leaves swirling around the wedding location. Stunning photo and great capture. I wish I would have known Anne back when I got married, she's a great photographer.

And let's not forget that yummy looking (organic) food, it was made by The Juniper Spoon. Makes my stomach growl just looking at it.

This shows a green wedding can be stylish, elegant and earth friendly at the same time, even without trying.
